Morita TriAuto ZX2 Endodontic motor with apex measurement feature is the newest model of TriAuto ZX, which combines a cordless endodontic motor and apex locator in the same device for the first time in the world, and its successor TriAuto ZX2. TriAuto ZX2 Plus is not only the most serious alternative to all endodontic devices with both its unique optimum torque return movements and new generation reciprocation features; it is a much superior device with its more functional, more responsive, smarter, and more precise functions than them.

  • With the new rotation angles that reduce the possibility of file breakage with the device, faster treatment is provided in narrow and curved canals.
  • As in Root ZX Mini, the Gold Standard apex location system is integrated into the device. In addition, you can work with hand file precision with Morita's unique speed reduction function when approaching the apex.

It can perform reverse file movement developed for greater precision and functionality against file breakage.
Thanks to OGP2 mode, file breakage due to pressure when the canal narrows or the file gets stuck is prevented.

With Morita's own design new generation reciprocation movement, it reduces file breakages at a very high rate. With this new generation rotation movement, canal entry, advancement, enlargement, and cleaning stages can be performed much faster. In addition, the limitation of the file used has been removed, and the file of the desired angle and diameter can be preferred and used freely.

Thanks to the OGP2 rotation movement, it is possible to perform glide path rotation movement with both Rotary and Reciprocating files.
Advancement and path opening with a hand file can now be provided with an endomotor.
It offers successful treatment without distorting the canal shape even in very narrow and curved canals.

The OTR function, i.e., “Optimum Torque Reverse” movement in the device, has also been adapted to both Rotary and Reciprocating file systems.
The device now actively operates the OTR function not only in CW (clockwise) rotary mode but also when rotating CCW (counter-clockwise).

In addition to the existing “Optimum Apical Stop” function, a special stop function has been added. These functions are below.
OAS (Optimum Apical Stop): The file returns and then stops when it reaches the set point at the apex.
OAS2 (Optimum Apical Stop 2): When the file reaches the set point at the apex, the motor automatically rotates twice and then stops.

It offers easy and safe treatment possibilities thanks to the new Optimum Glide Path (OGP, OGP2) and Optimum Torque Reverse (OTR) safety functions. The OTR function protects the canal against file breakage and micro-cracks by automatically reversing the rotation direction when the torque level is exceeded, while the OGP function facilitates the glide path creation process. Thanks to these new treatment functions, TriAuto ZX2+ makes treatment more efficient by preserving natural tooth material.

Integrated measurement function offering millimetric accuracy results
The apex locator integrated into the contra-angle gives precise measurement results independent of the nature of the fluids in the root canal. The practitioner can see the distance of the file to the apex on the color screen, and monitoring is also supported by acoustic sound signals.

Easy application – Short treatment time
Since all preparation stages are carried out mechanically, the practitioner saves a significant amount of time. Treatment processes are shortened thanks to 8 preset programs where all relevant parameters are stored. Depending on requirements, it is possible to set speeds between 100 and 1000 rpm.

Small contra-angle head
Thanks to the small head diameter of the TriAuto ZX2 Plus motor head, the practitioner can always see the preparation area directly. In addition, better visibility and greater working distance are provided thanks to the internal file electrode.

OGP (Optimum Glide Path)
Thanks to the OGP function specific to TriAuto ZX2 endodontic motor devices, the practitioner can create a glide path inside the canal quickly and safely. Glide path creation is the actual initial stage of root canal treatment and refers to the safe and consistent preparation of the endodontic root canal under ideal conditions.

It is possible to open a glide path faster and safer with rotary instruments compared to a hand file. With the OGP function, the required working depth can be reached without file breakage, ledge formation, or jamming in the canal. When OGP mode is selected, the device makes back-and-forth movements just like a hand file user does. The angles of these movements can be adjusted in 3 different values.

OGP2 (Optimum Glide Path 2)
In the new OGP2 feature that comes with the Plus version, the motor continuously rotates 150° clockwise and 60° counter-clockwise. After performing this movement 4 times in a row, this time it starts moving 150° in the reverse direction and 60° clockwise, and returns to the beginning after performing this movement 4 times.

OTR (Optimum Torque Reverse)
While the file is inside the canal, it is exposed to mechanical effects that can lead to breakage at any moment. Therefore, limiting its torque is particularly important to protect the file. The OTR function ensures that the direction of rotation of the file is reversed when a certain torque level is reached. The file, which rotates 90 degrees in reverse, is then rotated 180 degrees in the cutting direction.

If the user continues to apply pressure to the file, this procedure repeats as 90 degrees reverse and 180 degrees forward movement. If there is no strain on the file, cutting continues with normal forward rotation movement. The advantage of this function is that the file moves more comfortably inside the canal and the original shape of the canal is preserved. In addition, debris is safely evacuated. The OTR angle can be adjusted in 2 different values.

OAS (Optimum Apical Stop)
When the file reaches the set apex point, it automatically reverses half a turn or one turn and stops after being released. This situation reduces the possibility of file jamming and cracking.

When the file reaches the set apex point, the motor rotates twice (clockwise and counter-clockwise) and then stops.

Automatic Stop Safety Function
The TriAuto ZX2+ endodontic motor is linked to the apex measurement function. This feature makes endodontic treatment safer and more efficient. The position of the file is shown on the screen, and when the file reaches the set point, the motor stops or reverses. Thanks to this function, the risk of perforating the apex is eliminated (perforation is prevented).
