DTS Intraoral Scanner and Software
The DTS Intraoral scanner is a state-of-the-art imaging device that enables fast and safe digital impression taking.
DTS INTRAORAL SCANNER
The DTS Intraoral Scanner, newly developed by Apple Dental, is a high-resolution imaging device used for taking digital intraoral impressions. Also briefly called IOS or intraoral scanner, you can quickly scan your patient's teeth and create a digital impression with this device. You can send the impression files created with this device, which generates open-source data, to your laboratory for processing, or work on them yourself if you have the hardware.
- Fast Impression Taking: Thanks to the fast scanning feature of the DTS Intraoral Scanner, the linear scanning speed can reach up to 80 mm/s and a full arch scan can be completed in just 90 seconds.
- Ergonomic Scanner Tip Design: The new scanner tip with a built-in heating system keeps the temperature inside the patient's mouth constant. The mirror angle of the scanner tip is close to 45 degrees and can scan mesial and distal areas in alignment.
- Screw Type Cable Connection: The new screw cable connection ensures a more solid connection between the cable and the handpiece.
- Aesthetic and Lightweight Handpiece Design: The ergonomic design and light weight (210 g) of the handpiece make it more comfortable and easier to use.
- New AI Scan Function: The new AI function of the DTS Intraoral Scanner scans soft tissues more smoothly and ensures cleaner results. It is suitable for edentulous jaw optimization, caries detection, and automatic labeling.
- 3D True Color: The surface texture and contrast of the scanned elements are stronger. This helps dentists and technicians perform more precise operations.

An intraoral scanner is a high-technology device used in digital dentistry that creates high-resolution digital images of patients' intraoral structures. This device creates a detailed 3D map of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity, taking digital impressions quickly and effectively as an alternative to traditional dental plaster models. Intraoral scanners are used in many fields such as treatment planning, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry. It operates with optical continuous video capture technology, and its use significantly accelerates treatment processes while increasing patient comfort.
An intraoral scanner is a technology that allows dentists and dental technicians to record patients' oral structures digitally, quickly, and accurately. This device offers a less invasive and more comfortable alternative compared to traditional dental impression methods, facilitating the treatment process for patients. Intraoral scanners are designed to be used in many different applications in dentistry; these include orthodontic assessment, restorative treatments, implant planning, and custom prosthesis designs. These devices improve treatment planning, increase the speed of treatment processes, and raise the quality of final results, thus significantly increasing both patient satisfaction and clinical efficiency.
Intraoral scanner usage is performed by dentists and dental technicians to create a digital copy of patients' intraoral structures. The usage process begins with carefully guiding the scanner handpiece within the patient's oral cavity. The tool is equipped with a special scanner tip, and this tip can scan mesial and distal areas simultaneously by keeping the mirror angle at approximately 45 degrees. The scanner captures the surfaces of teeth and gums as high-resolution 3D images using optical continuous video capture technology. During this process, the scanner is moved slowly inside the mouth with a linear motion, and a full arch scan is usually completed in just a few minutes. The obtained digital images are then used for various purposes such as treatment planning, design and production of custom dental prostheses, or archiving patient records.
Fast Impression Taking: The DTS Intraoral Scanner draws attention with its extremely fast scanning feature. The linear scanning speed can reach up to 80 mm/s, and a full arch scan can be completed in just 90 seconds. This feature significantly speeds up treatment processes and ensures patients spend less time in the chair.
Ergonomic Scanner Tip Design: The scanner comes with a new scanner tip featuring a built-in heating system that increases patient comfort. The mirror angle of the scanner tip is designed close to 45 degrees to scan mesial and distal areas simultaneously, providing ease of use.
High-Resolution 3D Imaging: Thanks to optical continuous video capture technology, the device can produce detailed 3D images up to 20 μm resolution. This high resolution offers great precision to dentists and dental technicians in treatment planning and application.
Wide Format Support: The DTS Intraoral Scanner supports various 3D digital formats such as STL, KAT, OBJ. This wide format support ensures that data taken from the scanner is compatible with various dental CAD/CAM software, thus facilitating laboratory workflow and integration with third-party software.
User-Friendly Software and Strong Hardware Compatibility: The device comes with user-friendly software and works compatibly with processors such as Intel Core i7-9700H or higher and powerful graphics cards such as NVIDIA GeForce 1660, with a minimum of Microsoft Windows 10 64bit Pro version or higher. This ensures the device operates fast and efficiently, making the work of dentists and technicians easier.
These features of the DTS Intraoral Scanner and Software increase efficiency, accuracy, and patient comfort in dental applications, while also accelerating treatment processes. For these reasons, it is an excellent choice for dentists and dental clinics.
